The battle in Governolo
Painted in 1848 by Alessandro Prampolini in the very place of the battle
A lot of citizens from Reggio took part to the first war of independence. On April 24, 1848 thanks to the presence of the military mobile group from Reggio in the battle of Governolo, near Mantua, the Austrian troupes were defeated.
