This flag was given by Reggio Emilia’s women to the “Hunters of Crostolo river” Battalion, captained by Eugenio Bianchini, a soldier in Garibaldi’s Army. Later it became the official banner of the  “Società dei Reduci delle Patrie Battaglie “Preside G. Garibaldi” (Veterans of the homeland battles “Preside G. Garibaldi” Society) , with the motto “togetherness makes strength”.
