Some of them had the cross of the Savoy Family on a white background and have been found after the downfall of the fortress of Gaeta in Borboni soldiers&#8217; hands. Garibaldi himself had assured the king of Piedmont to assume the motto: \u201cItaly under King Vittorio Emanuele\u201d.
