Giuseppe Lamberti supported Carboneria Society since he was very young and in 1823 he had to escape to Tuscany. In 1831 he came back to Reggio during the revolt and than he was exiled again. He met Giuseppe Mazzini in Marsiglia and became his assistant. In 1848 he came back to Italy and died in Reggio in 1851.
