Giulio Ferrari, born in Reggio Emilia, had been a volunteer in the battle of Governolo, than he became an official of the Piedmont Army and died in Novara, wearing this uniform. The seven Ferrari brothers (Giulio, Lodovico, Antonio, Prospero, Filippo, Vincenzo e Giambattista), were all volunteers in the wars for the Italian independence.
