On 29 June the Cisalpine Republic is proclaimed and on 9 July it Joins the Cispadane Republic. Many people of Reggio are called upon to fill important public position: Pellegrino Nobili is named Minister for Internal Affairs and Secretariat of State, Angelo Perseguiti Minister of Justice and Police, Giovanni Paradisi member of the Cisalpine Directory and the Government Committee, Giacomo Lamberti member of the Directory, Giambattista Venturi diplomatic agent.
